I think we can safely say we've moved into something of a stride.  We know what the elements of this essay need to be.  We are laying the path for our points.  We delay gratification once in a while in order to love a detail up to the surface of significance.  We consult the thesaurus here and there, but there think better of it and use the term our grandfather would have used in those old tales he used to tell us by the hearth.  It pays to be succinct.
